We had a very short, but very busy week!
This week we continued working on comparing likes and differences. The kids worked together to make body cut outs of themselves. Then they put their cut outs in order from shortest to tallest and measured their bodies. We will continue this activity next week by creating a class graph of our data. This was a really fun activity for the kids!
We continued working on building stamina in the Daily Five and also practiced the 3 ways to read a book (read the pictures, read the words, retell a familiar story) and real vs. fake reading. The kids have started using their writing folders and are already busy creating some really great stories! We also had our first spelling test this week! I think this was a super "cool" thing for most of the kids, they seemed to enjoy it!
We celebrated another birthday in our class this week! Mimi turned 7! Everyone enjoyed brownies and fresh fruit! YUM!
